Mary and Martha II

Luke 10:41-42 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Like Martha was distracted, there are many things that distract us. Distraction is one of the tricks of the devil. His main aim is to distract you with many things so that you are taken off focus and off your calling. It is very bad to live all your life and you never walk in your calling. To some, they actually discover their calling way later when they are too old. Everyone of us, God has set a calling on our lives and it is very good to discover early and walk in it. 

We need to serve diligently but the focus of our lives is Jesus Christ. The Bible says when we behold Jesus, we become more and more like Him. All other things become nothing in comparison. We need to learn from nature. Do you know that a lion however much it is rhe king of the jungle can die of hunger if it tires to chase many prey at once?

In the same way, a Christian loses focus by chasing many things at ago which makes them lose focus and end up being just a busy body. Child of God, learn to focus on Jesus and the call of God upon your life.

A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also. Jesus, the reason for the season

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus is the reason for the season we are in. He is the gift of God unto men. Who on earth does not like gifts and who on earth can reject the Gift of all gifts, moreover given by God Himself? Jesus cannot be rejected because He is love, He is Grace, He is Life and Truth.  In case you doubt His claims you cannot argue with everything that happens in this season. It's evidence that His claims are true.
