Prosperity V

Psalms 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Child of God you need to expect good things to come your way. Let your heart be established on that. Do not be double minded, not knowing what to expect.

There is a teaching which has been popularised nowadays called positive thinking. If you are not careful you may mistake it for faith but it isn't. Positive thinking is an attitude that only expects positive things based on one's own willpower. Faith on the other hand expects good things based on God's word. The former is based on the mind of a man. The later is based on the mind of God.

Positive thinking says if man desires something so badly then they get it. Underline "man". When has man been the centre of things? Isn't that a dethronement of God and enthroning man instead? Doesn't that lead one to self sustenance, self confidence, and all the self's you can ever think of? How about God centredness and Christ centredness?

Child of God riches are not an end in themselves. Many after amassing them indulge in drugs, adultery, and every form of indulgence simply because they got it by the flesh, positive thinking and sometimes through ungodly ways. God's way is always the best way, not only won't you enjoy the process of getting them, you will enjoy them too.
