Wisdom IV

1 Corinthians 2:4 'And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:'

Since Christ has become unto us wisdom, 1 Cor 1:30, let's therefore embrace that truth and walk in it. Let our reasoning be based not on human wisdom but on Christ, our wisdom. We ought not to think as the world thinks for our wisdom is from on high.

When you are listening to a teacher or a preacher, look out whether they are talking about Christ the Son of the living God or just talking merely about human affairs. Some keep talking about traditions or philosophies of men rather than preaching Christ. Some end up preaching about themselves, instead of pointing us to Christ. Avoid listening to talk on pulpits which is only full of talk about wisdom of men rather than the wisdom from above. This is true too about the natural things we get exposed to. You see a Christian feeding on news from morning to evening. What news? Adultery, lust, fights, wars, sports etc. Now I don’t discount that there is something to learn from that but it's all natural. You won't be inspired to go heal the sick, plant churches or hold crusades when you only feed on the junk or natural things of this world. Nowonder such Christians who feed heavily on that reason like the world, think of impossibilities and cannot dare or sharpened to advance the gospel far and wide.

The songs we sing or listen should point us to Christ Jesus and glorify Him. The jokes or memes on social media should point us to Christ. Some believers all they can say in a conversation are the memes they have seen rather than the voice of God or the revelation they have from the scriptures they read that morning! The Bible says as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Therefore feed on the wisdom of God. Study God's Word and you will become wiser.

Many times, you may want to listen to the radio, if Christ is not preached there, simply just switch it off. Instead spend your time speaking in other tongues edifying yourself, listening to sermons, audio bibles, Christian audio books etc. Many things take our time but they are not helpful.

If you want to change men, you ought to think higher than them. The wisdom of God which is higher than that of men or the natural things of this world will cause you to do exploits for God.

Child of God, the wisdom of the world is vanity. It is the wisdom of God that will profit you.
