Service I

Luke 22:26 But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

The way to greatness is by service and not being served. The more people you can serve in the kingdom, the greater you are.

Whenever you reach a new environment, ask those you find how you can be of help to them and it can be through your energy, time or participation for instance you may join certain ministries and they may be well off in terms of finances and it may appear that they do not need your money unless the Lord leads you to give them but at least be of good use to them.

Opportunities present themselves to problem solvers. Your relevance is in accordance to the problems you solve. It should never be a burden to you to solve a problem or to give a helping hand. You should find joy in giving help or offering a service.

At times the people who lead us especially in church settings don't do certain things because they want others to volunteer to lead in those areas and learn great lessons. Unfortunately those who are led don't get it.

Some are waiting to be told to do this or that. Not many will be willing to tell you what to do rather it will be upon you to identify a need and meet it. Don't ask who is responsible for doing a particular task, just meet do what needs to be done for instance if you arrive early at church and you see that the chairs are not clean, don't ask who is responsible, clean them!

Create and also identify opportunities to serve and seize them. If you want to grow fast it is the path to take.
