Service II

1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way. 

We must be prepared and prepared to serve genuinely and sacrificially. That extra hour you give at the expense of your sleep to serve others counts a lot. Prayer for example is also an act of service. Staying awake interceding for others is an act of service for even prophet Samuel did the same as it is in our theme scripture. 

Do not be timid as you are serving. Some put much thought on how others will think about them in case they do something and that alone affects them in one way or the other. Determine in your heart to be delivered from man's opinions about you and better do the right thing and it will be up to them to think whatever they will think.

We need to learn from our dear mothers who even when everyone including herself arrive home at around 7pm but immediately she would change and head straight to the kitchen to prepare something for the whole family! Even though tired, the spirit of greatness in her pushes her to serve others.

Are you willing to take a little bit of discomfort to make sure that other people are well?

A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also. God first

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God deserves our worship, love and time. Our lives need to be rotated around Him in all that we do.  The Bible says we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall follow. That scripture is contrary to popular thinking nowadays which advocates that people are masters of their destinies. Only the humble can try to live by it. That scripture does not say we should do other things and then seek God about them. On the other hand we should first go to Him for direction and then other things should follow.  That is why Sunday according to our numbering of days is called the first day and it is on such a day that we go worship God in the church.
