Women ministry III

Luke 8:1-3 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

The Bible mentions a number of women that blessed Jesus from our theme scripture but there are many others which were not mentioned. They provided for Jesus from their own substance. They are the ones who took the pains to know what Jesus would eat or dress up that day. 

Today it's not the physical Jesus women are to minister to but to His ministers whom He has placed. The women who are married to pastors do a great job at this. That's why I say that when God wants to bless a man, He plants a Godly woman in their life. The women also minister to young men and women in our midst. There are young men in the church who at times go hungry yet a caring godly woman can simply take the initiative and share with them a meal. There are young girls whose dressing may not be appropriate or even how they conduct themselves, the godly women minister to such to correct their ways. I cannot forget one lady who saw the way I was conducting the service leading and corrected me. By then I was shy, couldn't look at the congregation but looked down. She told me how I am a mighty minister of God and that I should boldly look at the people am ministering to. I can never forget such advice which was given to me when I just started ministry.

I know of elderly women who care about the little things like how my wife is doing and why she has not come along with me for some meeting. They also commend me for looking healthy and thank my wife for taking good care of me. They watch out my steps and commend the good and confront the bad. That is what mothers do. They give small talk to the young married women on how to handle their husband, tend to nursing babies or the teenagers. 

What a blessing to have the ministry of godly women in our midst!

A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also. Jesus, the reason for the season

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jesus is the reason for the season we are in. He is the gift of God unto men. Who on earth does not like gifts and who on earth can reject the Gift of all gifts, moreover given by God Himself? Jesus cannot be rejected because He is love, He is Grace, He is Life and Truth.  In case you doubt His claims you cannot argue with everything that happens in this season. It's evidence that His claims are true.
