Financial blessings IV

Matthew 6:30-34 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

Today I promised to tell you what you ought to seek rather than seeking money or riches. Seek the will of God to be done. Seek God and not money. To tell you good news, God has a plan for you to be rich so instead of spending your life seeking to be rich, seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This does not mean you do not work a job but above all as Matthew 6:30 says you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things follow. 

I have come to realise that one who seeks riches always compromise their faith walk. But as a man or woman of faith, don't be after money but this does not mean you shall be poor either. Your heart instead should be after God, and if it is on Him you will get riches. Don't chase riches and you will not help being blessed.

The first thing in your life is the most important which is setting your heart on fulfillingthe will of God. My pastor always says don't think those who seek to do God's will are fools. They know where the money is, what ventures you can invest in and get money. But since there is a God who called us, He is no fool. He will supply all our necessities. You will not want anything good.

If I can give you examples a pastor who seeks God's will tells the truth to his sheep without fear whether they are rich or poor, a believer working a secular job will not sleep around with their bosses for a promotion, neither will they attempt to cheat them of their time, a believer who thinks they "have" to work at all times won't have days when they can fellowship with their creator because they think their survival is on a job etc. The list is endless. 

Trust God, do His will and He will take care of you much better than you would have done so on your own.

A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also. God first

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God deserves our worship, love and time. Our lives need to be rotated around Him in all that we do.  The Bible says we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall follow. That scripture is contrary to popular thinking nowadays which advocates that people are masters of their destinies. Only the humble can try to live by it. That scripture does not say we should do other things and then seek God about them. On the other hand we should first go to Him for direction and then other things should follow.  That is why Sunday according to our numbering of days is called the first day and it is on such a day that we go worship God in the church.
