Speaking in tongues

Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.


Speaking in tongues was the first gift that always manifested in the lives of the disciples after the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is the evidence that one has actually received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.


The question then comes. Can someone have the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues? Some ask this question because they don't believe that such a gift really can manifest today. They believe such gifts ended with the apostles. What some forget is that the same Holy Spirit which was in the apostles' time is the one we have today. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever. 


One of the benefits of speaking in tongues is the rest and refreshing one receives while they do so. This is quiet important in such a day and age where we have a lot going on in people's lives. Many things stress people in our day be it at work, at home and even on the road. The godly solution is given us which is speaking in tongues. 


The other benefit we see in the Word is your faith being built as you speak in other tongues, Jude 20.


The other benefit is that as you speak in tongues, you are praising and thanking God in an unknown language. 


The other benefit is that you get to pray in the perfect will of God. The Spirit of God enbles you pray what is in the mind of the Father. 


The other benefit is that as you speak in tongues, the Spirit reminds you of things in the past and makes you aware of things to come. 


The other benefit is one receives revelations in the Word as they pray in other tongues. If you lack understanding in the scriptures, God opens your heart to understand them as you speak in tongues.


All those benefits should make you want to speak in tongues at all times!

    It means for one to speak in tongues,should have the holy spirit.

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
