Get to know Him intimately and deeply. When you do, you won't be diverted by the people who will attempt to distract you from your right course. Adam in the beginning fell into his wife's temptation. Samson too. Jesus didn't. Other men of God fell because they gave heed to contradictory messages from others. But for you not to be tempted by others, you need to be firmly rooted in your beliefs. Above all settle it in your heart early beforehand that you won't give heed regardless whether it came from the closest person known to you.
