Keeping your mind on Christ


Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]:  because he trusteth in thee.

Keeping your mind on the Lord Jesus Christ is not a one day thing. It's a continuous fight you have to engage in. The devil's greatest attack is directed towards our minds. But thank God he has no new tricks. We are able to defeat him in any way he may attack us. 

Many things want to occupy your mind. So if you're mind is not stayed on christ you will have unrest, you will be unhappy as well as attract disease. Kenneth Hagin said you cannot hinder a bird from flying over your head but you can stop it from building it's nest on your head. 

Do you know that some people worry because they not only take in worrisome thoughts but they harbour them, and don't allow them to leave their minds? 

You cannot desist a tempting thought from coming but you can stop it from being conceived in your heart. Stop dwelling on those thoughts by imagining all kinds of negative things because by that you won't have peace. 

Don't be that helpless by saying you cannot help but worry, worry and worry some more. Yes you can help it. Think about this illustration, if I tell you to count in your mind 1 up to 10 and you start doing so. What will happen if you are on number six and I tell you to shout out loud the name of Jesus five times? All of a sudden your mind would switch to the new word  I have uttered. 

If you also happen to be among those who say that they can't hear God's voice, it may be due to the lack of peace you are experiencing due to worry caused by wrong thought pattern

What does this teach us? It teaches us that by the power of God in you (not by will power for it is limited), you can take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ our Lord. A thought which comes and whispers in your ears that you are poor should be countered with a loud shout, "I am rich in Jesus' name." 

Daily renew your mind with God's word inorder to have your rich store of words to counter the lies of the enemy. Therein your joy and peace of mind will have no end because your mind is renewed and has an answer to every accusation the devil might bring against you!

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
