Just show up

Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Are you tired, beaten up by circumstances, are you about to give up? Are you stranded? Are you unsure about tomorrow, carrying anxiety, sick? Is your marriage on the rocks?  Simply show up for God and for fellowship.

I wonder what goes into the mind of some believers who choose not to congregate because they are chasing an extra dollar! It is a recipe for danger. I wonder whether they know that they will only shine best if they are in close fellowship with God!

God is not against you working, in fact He invented work, and wants you to trust Him today with a potion of your time to Him.

Show up for that prayer meeting, show up for that worship practice, show up for Sunday service, show up for that mid-week service etc.

Go and congregate. There is beauty whenever we meet with the brethren. Such meetings are like brooks, wells of wisdom, source of healing, wells of Joy etc. You may not find such in your house alone, in your room alone. Gather with those who do in the name of Jesus Christ.

Why do you think mental illnesses, depression, suicide etc. are on the rise these days? It is because men and women isolate themselves too much. You find someone working in an office alone, driving alone, pray alone, staying alone, eating alone do virtual service alone etc. They lack someone to talk to. It is said that talk is therapy but society is drifting to an individualistic one of late. And it's getting worse by the day since the pressures of life are increasing!

Church happens in community. You cannot do church alone, never. Bible says where two or three are gathered, I am in their midst. That is when we can do life together, sharing and carrying each others burdens and by the time you know it, you won't need sleeping pills or antidepressants. Some end up running away to vacations alone because life is pressing them on every side.

Now don't tell me your personality is one which enjoys time alone. Circumstances may cause you to be alone but fight to congregate. You can be alone for a time but not all the time. Obey the scripture and show up!

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
