Purpose III
Jeremiah 30:19. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
God is going to make you merry and, at the same time, multiply you as you accomplish His purpose, which becomes your purpose in life.
Many motivational speakers ask people to write down their vision or purpose, but they fail to reveal that God should ultimately give you His purpose, which should become your purpose for you to be fulfilled in life. If such a motivational speaker does not believe in God, then that makes it worse. They will point people to themselves as if they are an end in themselves. Yet the Bible is clear that it is not in man to direct his steps. If you reach a point where you say, "Not my will, but your will be done," then that is a place of surrender, where you no longer live for yourself but for God. That is what Paul said: to live is Christ, but to die is gain. He meant that as long as he was alive, Christ shall be the reason for his living, and he would live for Him. And even when he died, he will still be with Him!
Some know they are meant to live for God, but the way they do things is disheartening. They not only do small things, but they also do things without the excellence it requires. On the contrary, God is not a God of small things, and neither will He settle for subpar things.
The Bible says the glory of a king is in the multitude of his subjects. If it is for God, let it be excellent, big, and praiseworthy.
