Inspiration to do things

1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

"I do things when I want to," I am amazed at such a statement when I hear it from someone.

People are either inspired by an interest or by a commitment to do something.

Interest is when one does things when they want to, feel like or when they are in the mood. Commitment however is when one does something regardless of one's feelings or liking what they are doing.

To do the will of God we need to commit to it come what may. It is for Children or the immature who don't want to do the right things from a tender age. That's why they are to be forced to do whatever thing they think they are not in the mood to do.

If Jesus waited to be interested in dying for us, his flesh wouldn't allow. He had to commit to the will and plan of God for His life.

We need to be like Paul, by buffeting your flesh to do what it's meant to do!
