Visibility

Matthew 5:15-16 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.

Platforms (lampstands) are made for the lamps with light on them. The lamps with lights on them charactise those who are bold ones and are attempting to do something with the gifts God has bestowed on them.

Traditional lamps in Jesus' day when hidden under the table, would cause some risks like fire outbreak to the occupants and their property! On the other hand if the light was not lit, darkness would result. Likewise if you don't shine, many people whom you ought have lead will be in darkness, for they will be lost. Furthermore many people self destruct if they don't light their lamps. Instead of lighting they do the very opposite like criticism, complaining and backbiting those who are trying to do something with their lights for God.

The level of your shining and visibility this year will however depend on how you see yourself on the inside, whether you see yourself as a son or a slave in the Christendom. A son operates in freedom while a slave in bondage.

Get out of obscurity this year, refuse to just sit there doing nothing with the gifts God has given you and let your visibility be clear to all, hallelujah!
