Envy and strife

James 3:16 For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.

The bible says where envy and strife is, there's confusion and every evil work. I have come to prove this scripture very true. Many relationships are broken because of envy and strife. Many ventures or dreams cannot get off the ground because of envy and strife. 

So and so cannot work with so and so because of one having offended another in the past has not caused many problems but a few. There cannot be orderliness or progress in any thing if there is envy and strife.

Struggle to be ahead, hidden and unresolved issues and a desire for supremacy and power has led to unnecessary strife and envy among families, friends and in church too! If men would walk in love with one another, we would see victory from every side. 

Love is not selfish, envious and is not proud. If you really let the God kind of love work in your life, you wouldn't allow strife and envy dominate you as a believer. 

Love would cause one not to hold onto their position or point of view so tightly and not being considerate of another person's position. For the good of the relationship to move on, you who is mature in love would have to accept to go with another person's opinion so that peace would reign. There's no need to make a big deal of an issue even when you're the right one. Let love and peace reign.

I have heard many say it's normal for families to have some rivalries. Siblings rivalries, parents rivalries, untie rivalries, uncle rivalries etc. Why have people allowed the devil wreck havoc in their lives and relationships? All those would be solved by simply walking in God kind of love. Only believers can because the love of God has been shed abroad in their hearts by the Holy Ghost. 

Everyone wants the fruit of love, but the root is Jesus Christ. Many campaigns are made for people to walk in peace and unity, but I assure you that cannot happen if Jesus is not at the centre. 

Many employees don't want to be subservient to their bosses because they are striving to take the position of the boss. Many rebellions whether in civil, political, religious circles are a desire for power by one party over the other.

Many people die prematurely or are battling with numerous sicknesses and disease because they are not walking in love but in envy and strife. Many children innocently suffer because of the strife in between their parents. Many loved ones suffer because of strife among tribes they belong to. 

For this cause we preach the gospel so that people may get saved and start walking in the love of God. Christians too need to let the love of God which is shed abroad in their hearts to dominate them. 

The number one sign that will prove to the world that we are believers is not bumper stickers we put on our cars but the love of God. By love shall all men see and know that we are disciples of Jesus Christ.
