Present yourself to greatness

Genesis 41:14 AMPC. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon. But Joseph [first] shaved himself, changed his clothes, and made himself presentable; then he came into Pharaoh's presence.

Joseph was in the dungeon but the way he prepared himself before the king was key. The Bible has stated that he shaved himself, changed his clothes and made himself presentable before coming into Pharaoh’s presence. The way you look, dress etc speaks volumes about you.

When you are to meet important people like your parents, your pastors, your Bosses, change your dressing. Organise your hair if lady, trim it if a man, look nice, smell nice. He would have pitied himself not to since he was merely a slave, a prisoner and above all a foreigner. But he respected what we call etiquette. Etiquette is when you know how to behave before great people before, during and after meeting with them.

Some just talk, laugh or eat anyhow. The wise man Solomon said when you are before a great man, cut your appetite. Some end up putting huge potions on their plates and yet are unable to finish it!

Learn table manners, phone manners, how to email, text or converse with great men etc. The fact that you carry spiritual substance and wisdom in dealing with the affairs of this life, be presentable in the natural, it may be the spark that leads you to your next promotion.
