Stop Accusing God

Job 1:21 And said, Naked (without possessions) came I [into this world] from my mother's womb, and naked (without possessions) shall I depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed (praised and magnified in worship) be the name of the Lord!

Job was a man who feared God and hated sin. In the first chapter of Job, when the messengers came to report how his property was either stolen, fire destroying it and children killed, this portrayed the devil's work. At that particular moment, Job in pure innocence and sincerity attributed his loss to God. He was ignorant that there was a thief and destroyer called the devil. John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

That is the lie the devil has sold to many Christians and non-Christians around the world and has enabled the devil to run free course. People think all good and evil comes from God which is not true. God is a good God and the devil is a bad devil. People have a misunderstanding about the sovereignty of God and religion has taught it for decades. They may be sincere, but they are sincerely wrong. The error some Christians make is that they read a portion of scripture and run with it and don’t allow other scriptures to act as commentaries of the scripture in question.

Jesus came in order that we may have life and have it in abundance. Get to know about the devil's ways and resist them every time so that you may enjoy the abundant life God has prepared for you and I. We see later that Job himself said in Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. It is after reading the entire counsel of God that we can connect in between the lines. He feared that someday his children would die, property would be taken or stolen, and that he would someday fall sick etc. The occurrences which later happened in his life were therefore were self-fulfilling prophesies of the things he always feared.

Our minds are limited to what we know in the natural. We may not know what is happening in the spirit realm. So, it was to Job. He was ignorant that the devil touched his property and attacked his skin with diseases but not God. After reading what was happening without his knowledge, then we can interpret what Job said in light of his knowledge and the revelational knowledge god has given to us. But we cannot make the mistake of acting or speaking like him as if we are ignorant that the devil steals, kills and destroys. And by the way the devil, even when God allowed him to touch job’s property, cannot cause havoc in our lives unless we allow him to or cooperate with him through fear, ignorance etc. The bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6.

If the devil would converse with God in the Old testament and moreover once, in the entire bible, we don’t see that happening another time except when Jesus was being tempted. So, you cannot base on one scripture and say that the devil is God’s messenger boy. Bible says a testimony of two confirms a matter, John 8:17. If there were two or three times where the devil would go into God’s presence to ask permission to wreak havoc, then we would say that such a teaching is true.

Child of God, stop blaming God for the evils happening to you. Close all the doors you might be opening to the enemy today through walking in peace and love with your neighbour instead of strife, repentance, forgiving one another and acting in faith instead of fear.
