Hope



Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.


Hope is the positive expectation that something good is going to happen. Without hope your faith has no backbone on which it can stand for faith is the substance of things hoped for. 


Hope is your positive imagination. What image have you formed in your mind? Is it one which expects that something will happen or it won't. If you think it will, then that's hope. Many have lost hope that they can do anything of value in this world. This means they can't have faith for it. 


When you study the Word, hear testimonies, hear words of encouragement and motivation, does it affect you positively or negatively? It should otherwise your faith cannot have a basis to hang on. The Bible says these three remain faith, hope and love. Hope is therefore key to a Christian. 


Have times when you imagine yourself successful, you imagine yourself healed, imagine yourself healing the sick, opening blind eyes, all that is hope. Hope says I will have it someday, faith says I have it already. Without the former, you cannot move on the later. 


Bible also says we are saved by hope, Romans 8:24. It means hope or your positive imagination will get you deliverance or salvation in many ways. Check my blog on salvation. It has been said that medicine cannot heal a hopeless patient. It means hope is medicine. 


Hope comes by the word, Romans 15:4. Therefore study the word. Give yourself wholly to it. And you will always have hope.


Hope for eternal life enables us to purify ourselves, 1 John 3:3. Ever wondered why there's a lot of promiscuity, and evil around us, people tramping on their neighbours without remorse? It means they have no hope for eternal life, or the appearing of Jesus. So they live anyhow. To them this life on earth is all there is, hence they can kill, hurt anyone for money, which is their god. If you're soul is anchored by the hope you have in Jesus, Hebrews 6:19, no amount of trouble on the outside will take away your peace of mind. You will shout in victory when it makes no sense on the outside because of the blessed hope we look to Titus 2:13, Jesus Christ in you, the hope of glory, Colossians 1:27.

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
