Ministry gifts I

Ephesians 4:10-11 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;


God has placed in the church special ministry gifts of apostles, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher for the edification of the body for the work of the ministry. Edification there means building up the body of Christ. These men of God perfect the entire body to do ministry. 


It's the sheep which give birth to fellow sheep and not the shepherd. Believers when well perfected are the ones to do the invitation, the evangelism, visitations, the healing of others, the planting of fellowships and churches etc. 


This order changed when the church separated special people, put them in special bible colleges, and paid them to do ministry to the body as the believers simply consumed what was being given to them. It became so worse that the bible belonged to a privileged few who were the clergy, only read and interpreted by them for others. This kept the masses ignorant about certain truths in the Word. 


Thank God for men who fought hard to translate the word from Latin to other languages of the common man. Now we can know what God wants us to do and can ably do it. Some read and discover that God has a special call in their lives and begin to walk in it.


Which area of ministry has God called you in. Obviously all of us are not all the five fold gifts. It was only Jesus that was all five in one. But we can be one or more than one of those. 


How can you know? By asking the one who called you into fellowship with Himself, Jesus. When you do and start ministering to the saints through simply obeying the great commission, your gifts begin to develop and become distinct. The believers get to witness it and evident to all. One should therefore not feel discouraged if they don't know the specific call they have been called to. Simply do what God generally requires of you and you will get to know the specific call later.

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
