Salvation
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
The word salvation comes from a Greek word called sozo which means deliverance, healing and prosperity. In the old testament salvation was termed as Yeshua meaning Jehovah himself was the saviour, healer, deliverer, welfare of His people.
Many Christians understand salvation only as the forgiveness of sins. Of course the Lord delivered us from our sins but also from all diseases and poverty.
Jesus saved us from going to hell, a place reserved for the devil and his demons by taking on the punishment for sin on the cross and testing death on our behalf when he descended to hell.
Before God, we thus don't need to save ourselves or do anything to save ourselves unless we receive it as a gift which has been provided to us by Grace through faith.
When this revelation hits you, you cannot help but preach this good news to all you can so that they receive freely what religion has taught them to work for.
