Spiritual Warfare


Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 


When we got saved, we became part and parcel of a war not in flesh and blood but spiritual. It happens whether we consciously know of it or not. It's expedient we knew the specifics of what transpires in that realm so that we win in it and in all aspects. It has been said by many that if you win spiritually, you will win physically. And if you lose the battle spiritually, you will lose too physically. Spiritual giants are often giants in the natural. 


What is important to note is that in the realm of the spirit, there exists angels, God, the devil, demons and our spirits too. The devil or Satan and demons belong to the kingdom of darkness while God and angels to the kingdom of light. Man either belongs to the devil or God depending on whether they have accepted salvation. If they are saved, they belong to God and are in opposition to the devil and if they are not saved even when they have all outward actions good enough they belong to the devil. 


It's not our bodies that get saved but our spirits, the part of us which can contact God. The word soul winning technically should mean spirit winning because it's the spirit which gets born again. The soul of a man which is his mind, will and emotions though have to be won over to God's way of thinking before the spirit gets born again. So one is not so off in saying we have gone to win souls to the kingdom. Infact if they merely confess to please you the preacher without being convinced or genuinely touched by the powerful good news of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection then their spirits getting born again is questionable. You see man out of his will denied God and chose the devil in the beginning. In the same way man should willingly choose God instead of the devil. 


Back to spiritual warfare. We are in a battle. Why should the devil's kids know that they are in a battle if they are already his? What for? Unless they are those who deep into satanic worship and have sold their souls to him, who actually know what they are doing, drawing thousands to worship the devil unconsciously or consciously. Now that one becomes a Christian, they need to understand that we have a real enemy and we have weapons, an armour to use against him, and advance God's kingdom on the earth. 


God is a Spirit and uses men with physical bodies to do His work. He thus needs willing vessels to work with. These vessels are men who know that the victory in this warfare belongs to God. Christ eternally won the war of sin and death, but the battle is ours to occupy and get the spoils. 


Where is this spiritual warfare? The Bible describes it as the heavenlies or high places. Where's the battleground? It's in the mind of the believer. No wonder there are many teachings regarding the mind, mindset by many men of God. 


In this war, don't exclude yourself child of God. It's not for the men of God, pastors, evangelists etc. but for us all and you have a part to play.

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
