The mind

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

One thing as a believer that should be settled right now is that we are in a spiritual warfare. Think of it as war. Where is it taking place? The scripture above describes imaginations as the things we are waring against and where do they take place, in the mind. This is so simple that everyone should find it easy to understand.

Have you ever found something to be true yet all the while you thought it was false? It means it takes knowledge to break that old thought pattern in order to acquire the new thought pattern. Simply put your imagination, argument, knowledge, speculation, thinking, idea about the matter was wrong in the first place. And what brought down all those high fortresses, defenses, strongholds was the gospel.

Now because of this secular people are advancing so fast in research and technology. They are quick to admit that what we know now will be old information tomorrow or in the future. They are not biased into a certain way of thinking. If you present such researchers with facts, they can't deny, they add it as new knowledge to old facts. Now all that is biblical truth they are taking advantage of to advance natural causes.

We christians are advancing a higher cause, spiritual cause, kingdom cause, which is not carnal. Why do we hold onto ways of thinking which are not spiritual? Why do we deny spiritual truths and oppose God from working in a supernatural way? It's the strongholds we hold dear onto. Do you know a country whose stronghold is predominantly of a faith besides Christian faith can be changed by the preaching of the gospel? Why then do we conclude that some religious people are so hard to convert? It's because we are not using the right weapons, that is the gospel. Instead we try to use what we think will work like building schools, orphanages, giving them money. Sometimes they are even richer and well-off. So what will change them? The gospel.

You do well to know the gospel fully so that you transform whole nations and people groups to Christ.
