What drives you?

Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

There's a parallel we learn from this scripture about our very lives. Jesus' one motive and drive was to do the will of God. God's will became His will.

Is that the same with you? It should if you are on this journey of living out your purpose. It has been said by many that the number one and one of most powerful things God has ever given man was a will. You can use that opportunity to side with God's will for your life or oppose it. Man has choices and God cannot super impose His will on us if we don't want to. This is hard to take in but it's true.

Let's see how man exercised his power of choice and personal will. In the garden of Eden, the very first beings chose to disobey God. You may want to think why didn't God come and intervene to savour the situation since man was going astray? He had already given him the power of choice, including rejecting the one who gave it to him! Fast forward in Genesis 11, man chooses his own way, to build a tower to heaven! Couldn't he approach God by seeking Him? Obviously that's how he had to do it. But he wanted to do otherwise.

What then should we do? The decision is yours. To submit your will under God's will. Your will should come second to God's. You may need to always speak like Jesus when he was in the garden of Gethsemane, "... not my will but your will oh God. "
