What is God's will for your life?
Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
What on earth are you here for? Who made you and for what purpose? How do you discover God's will for your life because once you do that then you have started living. These are very important identity questions that should not be taken lightly. When you have an answer to them, you will know what to do daily and the kind of decisions you make. It will be hard for you to have conflict in decision making once you establish a clear aim or purpose or call for your life.
Apostle Moses Mukisa once said that there are two very important days in ones life. The first is the day they are born and the second is the day they discover why they were born. Many go about in circles, trying to find out why they were made and yet they should only come to the source, God their creator so that everything becomes clear. In our theme scripture we see that God created us. We aren't self made or exist through evolution. All of us have God to account to at the end of the day for the way we live here on earth.
Many gifted, talented, and wise people have no clear cut answer why they were created and the result of that is wasted potential. Anything that's not properly put to use ends up being abused.
You see many youths for example who don't know why they are alive wasting themselves away in drugs, sexual immorality etc. Some dress anyhow, lust for anyone because they have no voice that tells them "this is the way, walk in it." They have bo being other than them to hold them accountable for what they do. Some who have a clue about why they are alive aren't so bold enough to do so because the voice of God is competing with a lot of voices around them.
What I have seen about this generation is that if it's trending, fashionable, cool, easy then everyone does that. Since the other celebrity, politician, cultural leader, my parents, tradition and norms etc says we should do this, then I should do it without thinking twice whether it's God's will or not. We can do better than that Children of God if you are born again. I was once preaching in a taxi and there was this one drunk woman who shouted at me and said, "young man, why are you telling people to get saved? Life ends here on earth, that's why we are to enjoy it here. After here there's nothing like hell or heaven." At another instance a man resisted to the preaching and said as for me, "my god is money and my job." If I don't have those two life is meaningless. Now those are some of people's reasons for living or even a lack thereof.
As a Christian, you cannot afford the luxury of not discovering God's will for your life. It's a must you should to avoid going by the flow. Like Andrew wommack says life is not a dress rehearsal, life is a real deal. Life is not be tried out or faked, it should be lived with a proper blue print or manual. If you don't live for something, you will live for anything. And if you don't aim at anything, you will definitely hit aimlessness everytime.
Let God dictate your life's purpose and you will find the true joys of life.
