Quietness

2 Corinthians 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for [your] food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 

Isaiah 32:17-18 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

In our day when there are wars, political troubles, there's nothing more treasurable than a believer living in quietness. Quietness is not numbness but a state of the heart which is at rest without any sense of worry. It's a gift freely experienced by generous people. All will be well, our day today needs will be met, God will come through even in the worst environments we may find ourselves in. 

There's a common story of a child who was seated in a plane about to crash. When prompted why he was not bothered yet everyone else was in fear and trembling, he simply said, "It's my dad who is the pilot. I know he knows am among the crew so he will do everything to make sure we land safely." Wow, what a bold statement. 

But that doesn't come from one who is ever listening to doubters, negative people, confusing philosophers about the goodness of God. Just yesterday I fell on a document which was called the humanist manifesto. Now these are top of the cream brains who came up with it of which some are religious men! They want to infiltrate their doctrines of man naturally existing without God having created them. In a nutshell get people to think that life is all about them and there's nothing like anything supernatural whatsoever.

Whole religions have come out to deny things like supernatural healing, speaking in tongues etc because of such lies.What will that do to a believer, they will not have a certain quiet assurance like that young boy I described above after all God is not involved in the affairs of men. What then will be the lot of men, men will fail in their hearts due to pressures from all places, because they have no anchor to lean on.

Child of God we have a Father and a loving one for that matter, and because of him quietness will be a potion if we walk in generosity.
