Why prosper?

Proverbs 13:22 A good [man] leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner [is] laid up for the just.

A good man who is obviously a believer should leave behind an inheritance that even the great grand children should enjoy. This won't come so much through hard work because sincerely speaking going by the amounts a normal Ugandan works for, even saving some money is hard. Only God can prosper us by His economy.

There's also a promise of wealth transfer from the sinner to the righteous. If it happened to the children of Israel when they were leaving Egypt, why not to us the new creations? Even when they entered the promised land they got into houses they didn't build, vineyards they didn't plant just like that. Who in this world can give you anything for free except in the Kingdom? Bible says God gives us things freely for us to enjoy. And God has given us all things freely that pertain to life and godliness. That includes material prosperity.

But again after enjoying to your full, the Bible says remember the Lord who has prospered you. In Deuteronomy 8:18 God says it is the Lord who gives us the power to make wealth that He may establish his covenant on the earth.

The promised wealth transfer will be available to those who will be faithful enough to use part of it to meet their needs as well as spread the gospel. The gospel message is entirely free but the means by which it reaches the people is expensive. We shall not speak in tongues for us to get the church bills like electricity to be paid, that company understands the language of money and not tongues.

I have come to understand that if God wants to have something accomplished which obviously needs money, such as building churches, buying church property, the people who are going to give in that regard will have to be blessed a certain way so that they give towards that cause. But if any in the same church there are some who wouldn't want to give, then the blessing won't come to them. Those willing to give usually get salary raises, promotions, fat business deals, a great harvest if they are farmers etc. Since there's no money in heaven and God won't rain it from heaven onto the earth, He uses the very means on earth by which believers get money, by Him favouring them so that they get more of it to finance His causes.

One man said if God can get it(money) through you, then He will get it(money) to you. By this you become a channel, or an instrument for the blessings. But am certain the channel cannot simply convey the blessing without partaking some of it. Take for instance a pipe, if there's no water in it then it's dry. But as long as it has water in it, some of the water wets it. Although not all the water wets it, but at least enough of it keeps it wet. Although a lot of money is needed to reach the ends of the world with the gospel, you will be used of God to give a lot of it but you won't go hungry, homeless, without tuition for your children, without the cars or more houses than you need if you choose to be that channel. Am sure of this one thing, God takes care of his servants and children. He is also a good pay master than any good employer around.

I love the adage which says God doesn't take bribes. Surely He is just and faithful to his word. He will prove faithful toward you if you become faithful in your giving.
