Hard Work

Proverbs 6:6-11 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, [and] gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? [Yet] a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

It takes hard work to multiply the money, giftings, talents God has placed in our care. Even the most gifted people, if they aren't hardworking, they cannot fully reach their potential. From the theme scripture, ants are a good example to a lazy one in terms of hard work. Even in the new testament parable of the talents, the servants who multiplied their masters money worked very hard. The other who didn't just buried the talent which is so easy to do but it's not the best option.

Great artists train hard and long enough, great preachers pray and read the Bible long enough, great footballers engage in long trainings, great writers are engaged in research etc. Some see successful people work a few hours and earn more and they want the same but they forget that they didn't start with working a few hours. They started with hard work and long hours, set systems in place which created the momentum they experience today.

God expects us to work out the gifts, talents in us. Put out the money he has placed in our care in profitable ventures so that it produces more. That needs you to search them out diligently which is hard work itself. If you have land, He expects you to put profitable investments on it and not to lie idle. Sometimes I ask people who come with prayer requests to have this or that, "how will it help bring in more souls or benefit the kingdom?" If it's a newer car, latest phone, etc, shall it be a show of to the rest how God has done wondrous things or it will be God's weapon in your hand to benefit the kingdom? It's your choice.
