Trust

Acts 1:7-8 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Trust according to the Merriam Webster dictionary is, a:assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something, b: one in which confidence is placed.

It takes trust to leave your gifts, treasures, goods, talents, etc to another person's care. God has surely done that. For example God has left us in charge of spreading the gospel. It's not angels who are supposed to do it. It's been entrusted to our care. That is why the angel of the Lord sent for Peter to Cornelius' house to witness to them and not the angel, Acts 10.

We should be living in awe and amazement everyday that God can entrust you and I for this glorious work. He has firm confidence that you are able to do it. But is it true that we do it perfectly? Not at all. Some even get saved and don't fulfill this call to share the good news yet God won't override His decision to come and do it all by Himself. If one doesn't do what he is supposed to do, God raises up other men to do so.

It is a huge temptation for leaders to do everything there is to do and deny others from doing what they ought to do. Yet if they do everything and the members aren't doing anything, then we are robbing them of the opportunity to grow in those very areas. We too didn't start out perfect, but someone held us in trust over certain ministrations and that is how we grew. Everytime we get tempted to do everything by ourselves we need to remember that even the Lord left his disciples in charge of spreading the gospel when they themselves couldn't believe they could do it neither were they fully able to do so by their strength but by God's strength.

Dear leader, it's no mistake that you have that position in the ministry, God trusts and is confident that you are able to fulfill your ministry. Believe you can by His grace. In the same way, believe that others too can rise to do ministry just like you or better than you, so begin entrusting them to carry out different roles within the ministry.
