Wisdom

Proverbs 1:20-33 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, [saying], How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Wisdom is a principal thing. We need a certain wisdom in order to multiply the money, gifts, talents that God has entrusted in our care. Money and other things we have shouldn't simply be kept but multiplied.

It's normally said, that you are what you are according to your level of knowledge and the wisdom to apply such knowledge. Wisdom comes through reading the Bible and books both secular and spiritual which are related to the very entity you want to grow or venture in. Joseph used wisdom in keeping the Egyptians and the other nations including the Israelites alive by saving food in the years of plenty. Why then can't believers imitate such just like Hebrews 6:12 says? Why wait for emergencies to come your way for you to start to panic and make calls for people to bail you out with money yet you had the time to save but you didn't? It's not pleasing to God if we keep moving from ditch to ditch without any plan to avoid such in the future.

The other wisdom is to invest for your retirement when you can no longer be able to use the youthful energy you have now. Youth normally think they will always be youth. They feel the whole world is under their feet because they have a lot of strength. The old men and women they see now will be gone someday and it will be them instead. If you have no vivid image that one say you will be aged, let me wake you up today, better prepare for that time. If you don't like the way some old people depend on their children hard earned money for medical needs and sustenance, you're ended up in the same boat if you don't invest now so that you don't become a huge bother later on.

Old age is too far, the near future is coming when you will no longer be single, but married and people to look after. How prepared are you for that time? Have you talked to married people how they are doing it or you are busy on social media? Talking of weddings, some single people don't engage in wedding meetings and preparations until they get a shock of their lives when their turn comes.

Wisdom is all over the place. It's crying out loud on the streets. It is not far from us. We need to simply pause on the busyness of life and simply observe what is happening around us. We need to ponder our paths, number our days and become wise. Find someone who is doing what you desire to do and inquire from them. If you can, copy and imitate the same things they do to succeed. It's only in exams where copying ain't allowed but else where it's okay to catch up with the rest who have gone ahead of you through copying.
