Afterlife


1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.


What happens when a person dies? His body decays in the grave while his spirit either ascends to heaven or descends hell. Death therefore simply means a separation of one's spirit from his body but this is for a while. It's at the second death where that person will be eternally separated from God in the lake of fire. Those who have salvation receive eternal life, dwelling together with God eternally in the New Earth. 


At the second coming of the Lord, our spirits and souls will be reunited with our bodies and the whole being will be reconstituted. The body will be what the Bible calls a spiritual body. A body which will be able to go through walls, disappear and reappear too. Before the resurrection, the body is asleep but the spirit is not. Presently there is activity going on in heaven! There's a tree of life in the paradise which we shall enjoy!


Why then are Christians going to heaven immediately? Because their sins where washed away and they qualify to appear in the presence of God. While those who did not accept the forgiveness of their sin, their sin remains and don't qualify to enter heaven. 


The judgement of a man is immediate upon death based on whether they received salvation or not. You are judged righteous when you receive salvation and judged unrighteous already when you don't receive salvation. 


We hear of accounts of men who die in Christ actually die smiling because two angels wearing white come to take their spirits to heaven. There are also accounts of those who die without Christ, die fighting because demons come to fetch them to take them to hell. Since the scene is scary, they are seen shouting or struggling before they breath their last. 


If you are a believer, you don't have to be scared of the afterlife. If you are not a believer, and you are reading this account, you should be wary of it because you have not received the forgiveness of your sins. Receive salvation today by calling upon the name of the Lord

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
