A heart that is waxed Gross

Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

A heart that is waxed gross is not a pleasant statement. It is a statement which means ones heart has become dull and fat that it cannot discern the supernatural things of God. It also means a heart that is hardened, insensitive, calloused to the word of God.

How does a man reach that place of being insensitive and indifferent? They reach a place where they nolonger believe in the simple promises of "thus says the Lord." In short they simply nolonger believe God's word.

There are many people who make the Word complicated, yet it is not. This leads to incorrect assumptions and incorrect conclusions and beliefs that hinder the flow of God in their lives. God is nolonger what the scripture says but what their reasoning says. For example God's word provides for our healing but they don't believe so. It provides for our deliverance, but they again never believe so. It provides for our prosperity but they still do not believe so. All they believe is what they believe and what they believe is all in their power to do or achieve. To them, if the doctors cannot cure it, if their salary cannot support it, if their past experience does not conform to it, then they don't want to risk believing it for fear of it not coming to pass.. They leave faith to young believers. They have phrases like "do not have high hopes lest you become disappointed if they don't materialize." This is contrary to someone who takes God at His Word.

If you can just live in awe and in firm belief of everything God is doing daily in your life, you will be blessed continually and see God's power flow without end.

Matthew 13:15 (AMP) For this nation's heart has grown gross (fat and dull), and their ears heavy and difficult of hearing, and their eyes they have tightly closed, lest they see and perceive with their eyes, and hear and comprehend the sense with their ears, and grasp and understand with their heart, and turn and I should heal them.
