Burdens are lighter if done in love

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.



I don't know if you have ever sat down to imagine that a serious child of God has burdens to carry after having got born again? If you didn't know now you know. You have the burden to love your neighbour as yourself, even your enemies, your nagging boss, cantankerous spouse, stubborn employees etc. On top of that you have to do the work of the ministry with a pure heart, without grumbling or complaining. Furthermore you have to give towards worthy causes. You have to tithe, sow seeds, participate in so and so's wedding arrangements, do work around the church, preach the gospel to non believers, transport them to church, visit them, be there for them when they are in trouble, the list is endless. In short, all that Jesus did you have to do otherwise you won't be a good witness with much impact in this world. 


The good thing about it is that all these are burdens in Love or burdens done out of Love for the one who loved you unconditionally and gave Himself for your sake, the man Christ Jesus. Even after you do all these you don't even want to take any glory for it, that's why the word "ekitiibwa kidire eri Mukama," translated as all glory goes back to the Lord is common to a humble Christian after being used of God to do any of the things I have mentioned previously. 


Jesus said that His yoke is easy and burden light because He is carrying the heavier part of it. But still if you are to look at it from a natural point of view, it's work, and a lot of it. 


I heard a statement from a relative of mine who said they can't join a born again church denomination because they fear that they won't have time for anything else. All the time it's church, it's like everyday we have to be doing something church related. To them they see it as an infringement to their private lives. To us it's life. We love to do it because we are responding to love. 


Spouses know it better. What keeps them to do things for each other without even feeling burdened is because of love as the foundation of their union. They don't desire payment for it. It's a natural reaction from something deep within them.


We love because he first loved us. The revelation God's love will make you do more than you can ever imagine.

When a heart(soul) heals

Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also.
