Strength through grace
2 Timothy 2:1-3 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
Paul admonished Timothy that, above all things, to first get established in the grace of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Grace is the foundation on which discipleship and endurance of hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ are built. Without it, one's life and ministry will easily be shaken.
Some people, after getting saved, get into all kinds of teachings, which are meats, yet they are spiritual babes that need the milk of God's word. Grace is one of the milk of the Word that will set them on course to be am established Christian and minister of the gospel.
Before even knowing about demonology, faith, angelics, prayer, finances, etc, they ought to know grace. Grace actually will enable them to gain knowledge of all that they have in Christ!
There's hardship and persecution that believers face after getting saved. If a man's heart is not established in the grace of God, they will feel like God has abandoned them in such times, and this may make them give up on their beliefs. Truth is through grace. We learn that God is ever with us and never leaves us. We are assured of His unconditional love and mercy towards us, and no devil will be able to deceive us otherwise.
No man who is established on grace can fail to become a great discipler and someone who endures hardship as a good soldier of Christ.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but once a man is established in grace, they are assured that the Lord has already delivered them of all in eternity past.
