God is love
1 John 4:8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
If there is an attribute of God that is so popular and appealing to many believers and non-believers, it is His love. At least everyone is convinced that God loves them, and that is why He sent His Son to die for our sins, the greatest demonstration of love ever known.
The Bible says someone can attempt to die for a good man or one who is righteous, but how on earth can you die for your enemy? Think about it. If one of the persons who killed your family, for instance (God forbid, it will never happen, just giving a scenario to drive the point home), by shooting them down is taken to the courts and sentenced to death by hanging. And out of the blue, you tell the judge to forgive the man, and since justice has to be met, you offer to take on the punishment instead of them! If that ever happens, I have never heard of it before; it would be the greatest news ever heard all over the world throughout history.
That is why Jesus is very popular. His story captures everyone's heart when they hear it. It either awakens them to a relationship with God or it stumbles them, and they regard it as a lie. If Jesus were a lie, then that would be the greatest lie ever told. But since He is true, His story is the greatest story ever told.
No other religion has a leader like Christianity. How can a leader become the servant of the people He leads? How can He offer forgiveness for the wrongs without punishing them but punishing Himself on their behalf? It is very astounding to hear and know.
If God's love does not supernaturally cause you to share it with all you meet, you need to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you in a deeper way. Otherwise, His love cannot leave you the same. It gets you work for Him, labouring in the gospel since He first loved us!
