First fruits govern and represent the rest

Leviticus 27:28-29 Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord. None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

If you ever forget anything, never forget that always the first things in your life should be devoted to God. When the first is offered to God, it becomes a root that governs the rest. It also represents the rest.

Remember Jesus Christ who died for us. Everyone's sins were nailed to the cross in his body, when he resurrected we resurrected with him and this becomes effectual when one receives salvation. We are governed in Him and He represents us perfectly before God, hallelujah. That is why if He is Holy, we are Holy in Him. If He was accepted, we are accepted through Him and not on our own merit.

In like manner, when you give your first hours of the day to God, you are establishing and ordering how the rest of the hours should go.  You are also involving God into the rest of the hours too! The first hours also represent the rest of the hours you will spend throughout the day. When you give your first salary, that is not only honouring to God but it also governs and represents the rest of what you would earn the rest of the year.

As you establish this principle in your life in case you haven't been doing it, it should be the starting point from which you will establish an each and every moment commitment to God in regards to your time and finances.
