The anointing

Psalms 92:10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like [the horn of] an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

The anointing is the power of God working in your life. Without it, you cannot do much for God or in the ministry.  It's the anointing that makes the difference between believers and nonbelievers. And it is the manifest anointing that still makes the difference between ministers.

The anointing is a very precious thing that you should not overlook. It will change your ministry.  People will respond to you, follow you, believe in you without much reason but the anointing at work. If Christians valued the anointing more than anything else, this world would be better than it is. Many people would be healed, delivered, set free and blind eyes and ears open.

There is a minister of God called TL Osborn who went to India but people never responded to his ministry until he identified a man of God who was flowing in the gifts of healing and submitted to him. When he returned to India,  crowds followed him in his meetings because of the healing power which was flowing through him.

Unless you want to be a preacher without miracles flowing in your life, but if you want to have miracles, signs and wonders in your ministry, you need to pursue the anointing.  The day you have it, you too will know and everyone around you.

Some preachers are only intellectual giants of scripture.  With much doctrine but lacking the power to prophesy or heal the sick. But there are places where no doctrine will cause men to believe but only the outworking power of God.

It is good to set your life on course so early so that you see some of the things our fathers saw. Elisha saw an anointing on Elijah and that did not make him settle for anything less. Not even oxen were worth sparing in his pursuit to follow after the man of God. And you find Christians so attached to their oxen that they forsake the anointing for the oxen! It is time you killed those sacred oxen which hinder you from following after the anointing.

Precious things are so rare. The anointing too is rare, anointed men too are rare.  Desire nothing less this year than to be anointed.

Further scriptures

1 Kings 19:19-21 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who [was] plowing [with] twelve yoke [of oxen] before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and [then] I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
