OUT - Reach to a dying world

Mark 3:13-15 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth [unto him] whom he would: and they came unto him. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

Jesus always had Up In Out rythms with his disciples. Besides the times when he taught them-Up, communed with them-In, he went out with them on missions-Out. He did not just have them around just to have a good time. He had an intention of giving them something to do, something that was worth doing for the rest of their lives. In fact, they died for that cause. He loved them so much in that He did not afford to leave them without a mission.

Disciplers, pastors, and gifted men in the five fold ministry sometimes do the opposite these days. They speak about grace, love, caring for one another, loving on ourselves, but they don't send people out to evangelise to the masses. So they leave that to a special evangelism team who are experts in winning souls. Jesus did not do that. He took all of them to the mission he was on.

This reminds me of the Israelites in Egypt. All of them were required to leave Egypt, including the young, the old, women, and men, so that they could go and offer sacrifice to the Lord in the wilderness. No one was excluded. Likewise, we shouldn't entertain those people who come around us just to enjoy our love and being prayed for, but they are doing completely nothing to invite others to church, let alone support those doing so. Everyone should do something, the rich, the poor, the famous, educated, and uneducated alike. Let everyone use their talents to bring about the evangelisation of the world. Those who can sing, write, talk, give, etc. should do so to get more saved.

A church and missional family is bound together by the mission of spreading God's love to the dying world. Without a missional component, the group that comes together will be something else. We need to come together because of a united mission to reach the world. That is why we are still around anyway. Think about it, why didn't you die immediately after you got saved? You are alive because you need to be Jesus's witness to a lost and dying world. And you need a family of fellow believers to accomplish that.

You have heard of missionaries that came to Africa, Asia, to do great missions for the Lord. They did not do those things alone. It was a group effort with the natives who were their first converts and the people they came along with on their journeys. They took voyages with a number of people on those ships to cater for their necessities , although they are not mentioned.

Research has it that groups that have been constituted by the mission stayed together longer than those without. We can not just bring people together to church, to our small groups just for the sake of it, we bring them along so that they can join the mission. If that is not so, believers will tend to think there are some specialists in the body of Christ who are trained to do that, and yet we are the ones God has called for that purpose.

In your church or missional family rhythm, add specific days where you evangelise in the neighbourhood, pray for the sick in hospitals, take necessities to orphans in orphanages, visit prisoners in prison cells, etc. These days should be scheduled and planned for otherwise nothing will be done if they aren't planned for.
