Purpose I

Esther 4:13-14 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

God has a purpose for each of us. But many do not know what that purpose is, and they end up misusing their lives or wandering from this to that without clearly defining or even having a sense of calling in what they are on. Every time the purpose of something is unknown, misuse occurs. For example, if someone does not know what the purpose of their body is, they will definitely use it for anything, including drugs, prostitution, etc. So it is important to know your purpose so that you do not waste your time and energy on useless ventures.

The purpose of something determines how it is designed to specifically suit the intention for which it was made. God made you the way you are to specifically accomplish a divine mandate. You are not just here to occupy space. There is a call of God upon your life that you should accomplish before you die.

It's actually possible to do many things in this life, but there is this cardinal thing you have been called to do. Esther, for instance, was made a queen supernaturally to rescue the Jews from destruction in our theme scripture. Nowadays, some fight for high positions just to get their selfish needs met. If Esther thought like that, she would have missed the point.

Whatever promotion, elevation, or accomplishment you happen to reach, it is for some eternal purpose. God has done well in many areas, the job, good families, good church you have is not by accident. They are in your life for a purpose. Above all, you are alive therefore you need to live for His glory and His purpose for you.
