The Holy Spirit I

Luke 11:11-13 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if [he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Human beings however much they are influenced by demons so much cannot reach an extent of acting so unnatural and unhuman like the contrasts Jesus made in this passage. No parent could do otherwise than to wish the best for his children.

God too has a gift for us to aid us in prayer and that is the Holy Spirt. He helps us too in other ways too and bestows us more graces because of the Holy Spirit. The best gift our heavenly father can give is not a car or a house, although he gives them; it is the Holy Spirit. The more of the Holy Spirit you have, the more you will ever need Him.

We need to reach out and receive the best that God has given us for without it, Christianity and prayer itself becomes so hard.
