Grace IV
Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jesus told His disciples, 'you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free'. It is not just the truth that will set you free but the truth 'you know' is what will set you free. Many people are aware of Bible truths. Even the devil knows some truths. For example he knows that Jesus is the Son of God but that has never had any influence on him until truth becomes revelational knowledge or until it moves from the head to the heart, it will never have impact in one's life.
Peter answered Jesus’ question of who He was by revelation. Then Jesus told him that on this rock of revelation, not Peter, will I build my church. Although the disciples saw Jesus, they didn't see him like Peter did. That's how two people can sit under the same message, same church, same preacher but they leave church after service with varying opinions of the message. One is asked ‘how was service?’ and they respond how the sermon was good but the building felt hot. Then another person directly seated with him says, :when the man spoke, the word dropped in my heart and I will never be the same again." Preachers too ought to preach by revelation and not by merely using notes. A sermon preached by revelation and out of the heart touches hearts but one preached by logic from the mind only touches minds.
It is thus important to study the Bible not because you are told but out of revelation. Read it until it becomes a revelation in you and personalize it. Revelation knowledge gives you an inheritance and it is by it that one gets to understand the unmerited grace and favour that was given him by God, Hallelujah.
