Prosperity VI
Genesis 12:2-3 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
In our theme scripture, we see Abraham promised a blessing so that he would also become a blessing to others. In proceeding chapters he became so rich in cattle, gold and in good works too.
He was a blessing in the rescue of Lot and helping overcome the enemies of King of Sodom and Gomorrah in the battle of the Kings. After rescuing Lot, he didn't even take anything from the spoils, lest they say that his riches was a result of that war. He entirely trusted God and God made him rich, this showed how he was not only content in his relationship with God, but also how blessed he was.
God can make you so rich that you become a great blessing to the work of God. This was true to the church at Macedonia who looked for every opportunity to be a blessing to the work of God in Paul's ministry. We are coming to a time when you will literally approach men of God and those around you and ask them how you can be a blessing to them. Even now you can exercise it in small ways. Buy someone a gift and gift them.
May God bless you, enrich you, make your name great, be so rich that you start begging to give. Hallelujah.
