Wisdom II

Proverbs 3:13-16 'Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.'

Living long is associated with walking in divine health. Imagine you are a father and your kids are yearning for you to put them on your shoulders but you cannot because you are ill. No one would love such a situation even though they are wealthy. If a rich man lies on his death bed. Will he want to call for his lawyers so that he signs a business deal and close it before he dies? No, he will ask God to give him life so that he may serve his family, enjoy his children and friends. Being healthy is important but it takes wisdom to live healthy. In Christ, both wisdom and longevity are available for you.

Wealth and honour will always follow you when you embrace wisdom. Many focus on blessings but God does not want us to focus on blessings. He wants us to focus on wisdom which is Christ Jesus. Christ will bring you all these things, 1 Corinthians 1:24. His wisdom in us works in every area of our lives for instance, when you have a health problem, sometimes all you need is wisdom not even medication. A financial problem, family problem, marriage problems are all wisdom problems. If your wife runs away and you come to the pastor to pray for you and after the prayer she happens to come back because you needed a miracle for her to come back. But if she comes back, spends a few days with you and goes away again, that would simply indicate that you need wisdom to keep her from running away. The wisdom to know how to take good care of her, treat her and eventually keep her.

Miracles happen when we pray. We always pray for them often and they happen but the principal thing is wisdom, seek wisdom.
