Giving rules II

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

This may not be a rule per say but it's a starting important to know it before all else; God is a giver. 

In the beginning God...He began all things, has granted us this beautiful world to live in, He has given us life, He gave us salvation, He has given us families, an education, leaders, freedom, friends, good churches, great pastors, good jobs, children, spouses etc. Please don't ever think if you don't have any of these then it is God's will. I believe God's will is for you to have things richly to enjoy. Whatever reason you assume why you don't have any of these is not God's. It's your reasoning. Is it okay for us all to be rich, why not? For all of us to have children, YES, for us to drive, the default answer if YES. If that is not the starting point of your belief system then you have started on a wrong foundation. 

God is a giver, according to John 3:16. We are children of a giving God and thus our identity is we are givers if you are born again. As believers, the seed of God dwells in us and thus we reflect who He is in our born again spirits. The manifestation if who we are though depends on how we renew our minds to who we are and start to walk in the light of it. 

God is so kind in that not only has He given us the nature of givers, He also speaks to us about giving in many ways. You can't tell me you see a needy person or get a phone call of someone in a crisis situation and just brush it off. Your heart is moved to do something. What stops you from doing something maybe that you have no means to do so but atleast your inner self cries out loud to be of help.

Now when it comes to giving towards church work, we don't give to "help" a needy God. No God is not needy. We are partners together with Him in this work. He invites us to join Him in doing so and it's should ne taken as a privilege.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

A year of good things

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Years represent new seasons. Every season God has a specific word for us His children that we need to run with. When we run the year based on that Word, our results will be evident. In this season as the Streams of life and Nations churches God gave us a word through our Father Bishop Gerald Mwebe that we are going to have good things.  Last year 2025, was a year of great grace. This year God prophetically is giving us good things. One of the good things He has already given us is the gospel. The gospel is the message we preach and live by. We need to realise as believers that we have a message which will touch lives not only in this world but for eternity. The gospel is not only for non believers but for nonbelievers also. God first

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God deserves our worship, love and time. Our lives need to be rotated around Him in all that we do.  The Bible says we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall follow. That scripture is contrary to popular thinking nowadays which advocates that people are masters of their destinies. Only the humble can try to live by it. That scripture does not say we should do other things and then seek God about them. On the other hand we should first go to Him for direction and then other things should follow.  That is why Sunday according to our numbering of days is called the first day and it is on such a day that we go worship God in the church.
