Giving rules VII
2 Corinthians 9:7 [So let] each one [give] as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
Rule seven; give with simplicity. As Romans 12:6-8 says Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, [let us wait] on [our] ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, [let him do it] with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Do not make your giving hard or complicated. Let it not be said of you that you that you are so hard to get, in order to fulfil your pledge. You may tell us, collect the pledge next week, and when that week comes you postpone to another week! On the day you are to be followed up, the phones are off, your not at the place where someone has to find you, the list is endless. Let the wise teacher, Solomon instruct you in Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for [he hath] no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better [is it] that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
Child of God, give cheerfully and in simplicity.
