Genesis 37:10 AMPC [10]  And he told it to his father [as well as] his brethren. But his father rebuked him and said to him, What is the meaning of this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers actually come to bow down ourselves to the earth and do homage to you? God created everyone with the purpose. In every area of our lives God created us to do particular things. including children. The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way they should go. One of that way is to discern what God created them to do on earth and train and nurture them in that way from an early age. From the above Scripture Joseph's parents didn't know or have a clue of what God had called him to do. That ought not be so. As parents let it be our priority to pray and inquire of the Lord for the sake of our children. By doing so, we will guard and protect them instead of fighting or competing with them inappropriately. Genesis 40:6, 8 AMPC When Joseph came to them in the morning and looked at them, he saw that they were sad and depressed. And they said to him, We have dreamed dreams, and there is no one to interpret them. And Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me [your dreams], I pray you. Genesis 39:21-23 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that [were] in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer [of it]. The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing [that was] under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and [that] which he did, the LORD made [it] to prosper. Prison is a place where one doesn't have the freedom to do what they want. Although that is true, it was not a limitation to God to do His will with Joseph. Circumstances can never hinder God to move.  Men are normally the limitation to themselves when they focus on place or circumstances they are currently in. Instead they need to focus on God alone. He said that the thing he feared most happened (manifested). What are those things you fear and make you worry, you keep imagining or meditating on them? Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. The way I treat my husband is key. Do you treat him as your Lord or something to order around.  This generation is dealing with so many things like feminism, homosexuality, etc. It's in these times that women don't want to take their place of submission. They want to overrule what God instituted. What they forget is that if the world doesn't treat men and women as equal, that was not so in the beginning. The husband and wife before God are equal, only roles differ. One's role cannot make them superior or inferior to the other. Trust is like virginity once it is broken it's hard to mend it.  When trust is broken, you cannot enjoy the marriage union. 1 Corinthians 11:3 But there is one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.  Woman, when you get a revelation that you are marrying for God, your marriage will run smooth and easier.  The revelation that your husband is your head, not your eqaul, colleague or fellow will make you do things differently. Many people have had relatively straight or obvious lives so they may not understand when I  persistently write to  encourage those who are depressed, stuck or are not making progress in most areas of life. By straight I mean after finishing school without having repeated a class, or not attending because of school fees, they immediately got a job, then got a spouse, got married, have had children, bought property etc. So such a man or woman by 35 years or less on average they look successful. They may not understand this blog or others I have been writing about. God has called me to encourage those who at some point lost it in the race of life or are currently losing it because of some failure previously encountered or currently facing. Ever been in a place where scarcity seems as though it's part of life, a place of not having more than enough, where you desire to help others but you can't because you are limited financially? In a place where you don't eat what you want but only what you can afford, you put on what you afford not what you want or desire, where you eat to survive and not what you really want to eat or enjoy to eat? Those are painful places to be in. Child of God instead of lamenting and complaining, speak faith filled words like these daily, "I am not a limited being, I am supernatural, It's my season of abundance and abounding, am waxing greater and greater, money hears me and it answers me, it locates me, I eat like a king, dress like a king, am fully supplied with all things, hallelujah." Galatians 1:10 Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant. It's very easy to ignore the father's God blesses you with. It therefore takes some level of spiritual sensitivity and maturity to know that so and so has come or came to my life for a particular purpose and reason and thus I need to accord them honour. Firstly, it's good to honour them with your substance at every opportunity you can. Galatians 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. I don't know about you but there's a certain reverence I have for father's and in particular men of God in that whenever I ask to meet them with an inquiry in a major move I am to take, I don't go empty handed. It has been said by some that life is not a dress rehearsal, it's the real deal. In this life where all of us live once, we need someone more experienced to give us clues on every step we are about to enter in, clues that will enable us avoid costly mistakes.  Life is not meant to be mysterious when we have people who have done what we want to do or have attempted to do them but failed. A father is somebody who gives birth to you. He is someone who gives you form, identity, existence and even an inheritance. A father has the ability to make you or break you thus one of the things anyone shouldn't play with is the power bestowed on father's by God Almighty.  A father's curse can affect your future negatively. Likewise a blessing of a father can have a positive effect on your life for good for example when Isaac was about to leave this world he called his son Esau to bless him. Managing one's emotions is a skill not everyone possesses. We need to learn from Jesus how He acted in certain situations that entailed Him to manage His emotions. When the sea was raging, Jesus calmed it down. He didn't complain like the disciples did when they shouted how they were about to die, Matt 8:24-26. He was in control of His emotions in the midst of looming danger. Many peoples emotions get out of hand when they are hard pressed. They tend to communicate with emotions such as anger and hurt others in the process. What is supposed to be done? Calm down. When you're calm, you are able to think right and act right. Secondly move away from those you happen to be in strife with that very moment and recollect yourself. It's better to stay quiet also than to speak a word that you will regret later on. It is a trait wanted and desired by many but only those who have gotten saved are in position to truly manifest it.  A person who manifests humility is like water, it takes on any form to pass through any kind of pipe, big or small. Farmers understand seasons best, some seasons are good while others are not. However that doesn't stop a Farmer from sowing. The same it is for a general who is fighting in wars all the time, there are losses sometimes but there are wins at other times. But the general still commands his troops in another war as if he has never lost a previous one! Likewise in this race of life, in case you encounter a loss one season, keep sowing in other seasons. Learn from the sower in the parable of Jesus in Matthew 13:3-8. He sowed and got 25% success and of the 25% he obtained a third which gave 100% success. This means he got 8.33% total success and the rest failure. Look here child of God, if God expects 8.33% total success of people who get saved and bear fruit while sowing seeds of the gospel through evangelism, don't give up in case you encounter failure in some area of your life, just keep sowing! Ever been in place where you feel like not doing something yet it's the time and season for you to do it? It's in such situations where only you can do that very thing and yet you can't delegate it or hire someone else to do it on your behalf. I believe God has called us to live an abundant life and not to just merely exist. By merely existing one has been robbed by the devil of their purpose neither are they full of life. The same simply pass time, become unproductive, no longer take on risks, have little energy in taking on ventures and give up on their goals or are pursuing none altogether. This state in someone's life is triggered mainly by consistent failures and defeats in a person's life. I have encountered such a place before where you are doing everything but aren't seen any fruit.  The results from this is stress, depression or suicidal thoughts. 1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. "I do things when I want to," I am amazed at such a statement when I hear it from someone.  People are either inspired by an interest or by a commitment to do something.  Interest is when one does things when they want to, feel like or when they are in the mood. Commitment however is when one does something regardless of one's feelings or liking what they are doing.  To do the will of God we need to commit to it come what may. Many times we focus on our earthly timings. But we forget to ask some questions like these, what if to God His year doesn't end in December 2024?  If so why do you put yourself on pressure for no good reason? What if His week doesn't end on Saturday? If not then why are you feeling discouraged that He has not answered you? In every situation, God speaks. Are you doing whatever He says in that situation? Every -time you delay His command or direction you are delaying your break through or your Miracle. Some of the commands are to be implemented immediately or now, so you ought to help yourself and do them now or instantly.  Obedience is of God. It is not human. It takes God for someone to fully submit to and obey authority and do as told. It also takes trust to truly submit to Authority. Daily the world is becoming tougher and tougher. As born again believers shall we simply look on? On the contrary we are to become beckons of hope. We ought to make the relationships we have with others much better, create joy for sorrows, create laughter for tears, become that light in the darkness. We ought to be kind, loving to the broken hearted. We are meant to offer help and a shoulder for others to lean on without expecting anything in return.  However, everytime you do it expecting something in return, it's a trap from the enemy and you will get disappointed and frustrated. No wonder some give up entirely on people. God has called us to those people so make the world a better place for people who are hurting, that's the heart of the Father for humanity. Do you know that everyday is a full package from God. In it is all you need to be successful in that day, the grace to sustain you, in it is the strength, it has the peace that makes no sense, it has the joy which is your strength, it has the resources you need for the day, no wonder the Bible says in Psalms 68:19 Blessed [be] the Lord, [who] daily loadeth us [with benefits, even] the God of our salvation. Selah. However, most times we do spend our days in the future worrying about the things which may never happen in this Life. Every time you spend worrying for the future in today, you are wasting resources for the day, your day will be dark and void of light, depression will get a grip on you and it will take a toll on you. Many hearts are wounded, broken, sick, depressed, bleeding but when the heart of a man heals, they start to live again. That man starts to blossom, to dream again, to shine brighter and to love again. Psalm 34:18, But the Lord is close to the broken hearts, to the wounded, frustrated ones, He is always there. Surprisingly many people are broken hearted and they don't know what to do. Because of the failure they have experienced before, they face shame and as a result they choose to hide themselves. Some end up committing suicide since they feel hopeless and their dreams beyond reach.  If you happen to be in this situation first and foremost you need to forgive yourself, release that anger and let go of the past. Secondly you need revelation of your identity in Christ. If you aren't born again, you need to first surrender to Jesus as Lord. Our God is always in the business of doing new things! Child of God are you still being held by your recent successes or past victories? Are you still held with your recent or past failures?  Chances are high that you are being blinded to the new things the Lord is doing because of them. There is still more child of God. If He did whatever you hear or read about in His word, He can still do More and do it for you! And whatever He does is from glory to glory, hallelujah!
